Yes it’s a great gift, but you really should get one for yourself. When friends come over, it’s nice to be able to keep the wine flowing without having to retreat to the kitchen to chill or open more bottles. This wine set is convenient because it’s portable and goes wherever your party ends up. The thermal stainless-steel wine chiller holds one bottle at a time and keeps it cold for hours.  The electric bottle opener removes corks in seconds.  No more struggling with cork screw contraptions that resemblance an octopus.  Two other top features are that it’s cordless, and the recharging base is included.

The manufacturer claims it can open up to 30 bottles on a single charge.  A good feature for commercial use I suppose.  What appeals to me is you take any traditional wine bottle, push the button and the wine opener does the rest.   It’s as simple as that.

Other highlights include a foil cutter for easy seal removal, a comfortable soft-grip handle, and a sleek modern design. The wine opener measures approximately 4 by 4 by 12 inches and the wine chiller measures approximately 5 by 5 by 9 inches.

I am particularly interested in trying the Bellingham Chardonnay.  Ray’s description of its taste, “Full of creamy, lemony, melony fruit …” is defintely new to me.  I will have to order this wine online.  I bet it’s not on the shelves of my local wine store.
